Alison was a well respected, professional, kind, caring and helpful Matron at Halliford School in the 1990s. There are many, many children who will remember her caring for them when they felt ill and particularly taking care of the injuries at the Saturday morning sport matches, alongside her lovely and funny husband Ray, who loved to watch the pupils play and enjoy their sport. As a teacher at the school. it was a pleasure to work with Alison and to call her a colleague.
